Muscles Contract in the direction the fibers run Muscles Can only Pull Together they can not push apart

2 Muscle Actions 3 types: Concentric- When the muscle overcomes the resistance contracts and becomes smaller Eccentric- When the resistance is greater than the force and the muscle gets longer Isometric- When the force is equal to the resistance and the muscle stays the same. (ISO=same, METRIC= length)

4 Biceps- Curl (with different grips)
The bicep flexes the arm at the elbow

5 Triceps – Reverse Push Down

The Triceps extend the arm at the elbow

The Deltoid abducts the arm at the shoulder
