www.HRCertify.org Why “HRCertify.org”? To provide content tailored to customers of HR- XML enabled applications/services. Desire to keep this separate from www.HR- XML.org, the source for information about our specifications. If you don’t like “HRCertify”? We’ve also registered hrstandards.com, hrcertify.com, hrexchange.org, hrexchange.com, hrstandards.org

What Can Be Certified? §Software, services, or implementations are certified against one or more HR-XML specifications. §The program will certify HR, benefits, and payroll software and services. §The capabilities of individuals and consulting companies are not certified, but a specific trading partner arrangement could be.
5
Why Should Vendors Certify? §To provide potential trading partners and customers a means to learn about your capabilities and integration details §To signal your support for open standards §To position your company for low-friction, opportunistic e-business §Show peers, partners, and customers that your company is a technology leader
6
What Do You Get for Certifying? §“A link and a logo” l A link to an entry describing your HR-XML enabled solution/implementation l A logo to use on your Website/Collateral Material
7
“Phase One” Pilot §Certifications granted after an HR-XML certification specialist has considered the facts and circumstances of your implementation. Certification under the Phase One Program is valid for one year or the withdraw of the conforming application, which ever occurs first.
8
“Phase One” Criteria §Must be capable of generating and/or receiving compliant HR-XML documents. (Phase One will include web services for validating docs against schemas). §Use extension mechanisms prescribed by the HR- XML Consortium* §Use components in semantically appropriate ways §Must have actually implemented the specification with a customer or trading partner Is this necessary? §Satisfying any workgroup-defined conformance criteria (e.g., TimeCard)
9
Phase Two and Beyond §Learn from, and apply, lessons from Phase One §Apply schema-specific criteria §Possibly provide more robust facilities for testing trading partner interactions (An example might be the test bed developed by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and the Open Applications Group.)
10
