2 AAE450 Senior Spacecraft Design Payne - 2 Transfer Vehicle Communication Dishes Specifications CAD’s provided by Matt Fox Constant coverage for duration of all missions Enough propellant to execute mid- course burns both to and from Mars Two dishes on TV for redundancy Docking for departure and arrival burns

3 AAE450 Senior Spacecraft Design Payne - 3 Transfer Vehicle Artificial Gravity Propellant Needs Artificial gravity spin-up propellant contained within the TV Engine nozzles for spin-up on TV All other propellant in large tanks at opposite end of the truss from the TV Spin-up maneuver takes less than 30min TV is spun-up after the Earth and Mars departure burns TV is spun-down after the Earth and Mars arrival burns Artificial gravity still active during mid-course burns CAD provided by Matt Fox
