The name of the book is The Little Red Hen and Paul Galdone is the author. This book is mostly about a hen who is not lazy and her friends who are lazy. My favorite part is when the hen ate the whole cake all by herself. I really loved reading this book and think that you should read it too! (4) Love, (5) Jake

6 Winning Team  What is it? Parents come to school to partner read with their child  When? During our Reading Workshop M-F 9:00-10:00  For how long? 20 minutes each week – or as your schedule permits  What happens? Parents sign-in at the main office during your scheduled reading time. Students select reading material. Parent and child find a comfortable spot to read together and READ!  Why is this so important? Partner reading fosters a love of reading, while strengthening the home-school connection. The students benefit by hearing the story orally as well as reading aloud.
