MY QUESTION What effects does calcium have on your body?
3
WHAT DOES A MINERAL DO FOR YOUR BODY? Minerals help your body grow, develop and stay healthy. The body uses minerals to perform many different functions — it could be anywhere from building strong bones to developing strong teeth.
4
SO WHAT'S CALCIUM? Calcium which is the most abundant mineral in your body is required for developing and maintaining strong bones and teeth. About 99 % of calcium in your body is stored in your bones and teeth which supports their hardness and structure.
5
OTHER USES OF CALCIUM The body also needs calcium for nerves to carry messages between the brain and every part of your body. In addition to that, calcium is used to help blood vessels move blood throughout the body and to help release hormones and enzymes that affect almost every function in the human body.

CALCIUM SERVING SIZE The calcium you need each day depends on your age. The recommended serving size of calcium is listed below. Life StageRecommended Amount Birth to 6 months200 mg Infants 7–12 months260 mg Children 1–3 years700 mg Children 4–8 years1,000 mg Children 9–13 years1,300 mg Teens 14–18 years1,300 mg Adults 19–50 years1,000 mg Adult men 51–70 years1,000 mg Adult women 51–70 years 1,200 mg Adults 71 years and older 1,200 mg Pregnant and breastfeeding teens 1,300 mg Pregnant and breastfeeding adults 1,000 mg
7
WHY DO WOMEN NEED MORE CALCIUM THAN MEN? For some reason, women are more prone to osteoporosis or thinning of the bones than men and since calcium develops and maintains bones in your body, women need more calcium than men. Life StageRecommended Amount Birth to 6 months200 mg Infants 7–12 months260 mg Children 1–3 years700 mg Children 4–8 years1,000 mg Children 9–13 years1,300 mg Teens 14–18 years1,300 mg Adults 19–50 years1,000 mg Adult men 51–70 years1,000 mg Adult women 51–70 years1,200 mg Adults 71 years and older1,200 mg Pregnant and breastfeeding teens1,300 mg Pregnant and breastfeeding adults1,000 mg

WHAT MIGHT HAPPEN IF YOU CALCIUM DEFINT? Calcium is a vital mineral that our body uses to stabilize blood pressure and build strong teeth and bones. If your calcium deficit, it may cause or contribute to conditions such as -Osteoporosis -Muscle or back pain -Tooth Decay. -Loss of bone mass -And much, much more
9
TO MUCH CALCIUM? Although a good source of calcium is almost required for you body to function well, it isn’t always good to “over-dos” in calcium. A recently published study revealed that taking excess calcium can be bad for your heart. They have fount that those who have a lot of calcium in their diet might have an increased risk of developing heart disease.
10
FOODS THAT ARE RICH IN CALCIUM? Eating foods rich in calcium doesn’t only prevent diseases such as Osteoporosis but also enhances weight lost. Dietary sources rich in calcium include Cheese Milk Yogurt Almonds Broccoli Sardines And much, much more…..
