8. What is Ynslas Task 1.Around the room are a series of different facts 2.You should order your notes according to the table below What is Ynslas?How is it protected?What risks are there to it? The Dyfi estuary is a rural environment in Wales which lots of people visit a year. To visit the beach, and for other leisure activities such as walking, sailing, riding and bird watching. It was classed as a SSSI in the 1950s (Site of special scientific interest) Much of the area became a National Nature Reserve in 1969 The area is managed by the Countryside Council for Wales (CCW) The area is classed as a honeypot site- an area that is very accessible and beautiful CCW tries to protect, Maintain and if possible enhance the environment CCW tries to allow as much of the area to be accessible to the public The sand dunes are a very fragile environment that can be destroyed by humans and animals If vegetation is lost from the sand dunes, the whole ecosystem is at risk of being damaged.
