ACCELERATION is the rate of change in VELOCITY.

There are three ways to accelerate since there are three ways to CHANGE velocity. 1. INCREASE Velocity (SPEED UP) 2. DECREASE Velocity (SLOW DOWN) 3. Change DIRECTION (TURN)
