7. A rabbit weighs 50lbs (he’s a heavy rabbit). He goes on a diet and loses 17% of his weight. What does he weigh now? Method 1: What is 17% of 50? 1.7 x 50 = 8.5 The rabbit loses 8.5lbs. What’s his new weight?50 – 8.5 = 41.5lbs

8. Method 2: What is 83% of his weight (50 lbs)? 0.83 x 50 = 41.5lbs
