4 Find % of Change % of change = amt of change/orig. measurement Find % of change from 56 inches to 63 inches. Step 1: Subtract to find the amount of change 63 – 56 = 7 Step 2: Use formula 7/56 = 0.125 or 12.5%

5 Find Percent of Change Find the percent of change from $32 to $44. 44 - 32 = 12 12/32 = 0.375 Write the decimal as a percent. The amount of change from $32 to $44 is 37.5%.

6 Find % Increase In 1975, the average price per gallon of gasoline was $0.57. In 2000, the average price per gallon was $1.47. Find the % Change 1.47 – 0.57 0.9 0.9/0.57 1.58 158%

7 Find Percent of Increase In Cleveland, Ohio, the high temperature on one day was 43° F, and the next day was 71°. Find the percent of change. 71 – 43 28 28/43 0.65 65%
