15. BIEF is working with young people from Dunclug, Doury Road and Harryville areas to address Hate Crime through a series of workshops aimed at  Raising awareness and understanding of the impact of race hate crime  Raising awareness and understanding of the cultural identity of other communities

16.  Each group will participate in 2 Hate Crime workshops which will input into artistic expressions of understanding and respect for diversity.  Artistic Expressions will be in the form of mosaic (Star-trek Youth Group) Clay (Waveney Youth group), Willow Sculpture ( Moat road) and DJ Skills ( Dunclug Youth Group & Dunclug Older Group).  The artists delivering the project as well as the facilitators of the Hate crime workshops are working closely together to get the best outcome for the project.  The artistic outputs will be celebrated by participants, their families and their communities at the end of the Project.  It is hoped this will change attitudes to hate crime and reduce anti-social behaviour and give the young people a positive experience and sense of ownership of their artworks.
