2.  Benjamin Bloom was born in Lansford, Pennsylvania, on February 21, he had three older brother and an older sister. He was the son of Russian immigrant. 3.  Benjamin Bloom helped establish the International Association for the Evaluation of Educational Achievement (IEA)  1960s, Blooms research on stability and change in human characteristics aids in establishing of Head Start program and in the 1970 mastery learning approach is adopted by many public schools. Bloom continues researching in the 1980s addressing teaching methods, and motivational encouragement.  Benjamin Bloom was a member of: the American Educational Research Association (serving as president in 1965–1966), the American Psychological Association, Phi Delta Kappa, and Psi Chi.  Bloom received the following Awards: *four honorary doctoral degrees (from Rutgers University, Ohio State University, San Diego State University, and Liege University in Belgium). *John Dewey Award from the John Dewey Society in 1968 *AERA/Phi Delta Kappa Award for distinguished contributions to education in 1970, *E. L. Thorndike Award from the American Psychological Association in 1974  Bloom authored and coauthored 7 books *1956 book on the subject, Taxonomy of Educational Objectives: The Classification of Educational Goals, Handbook I: Cognitive Domain *1959 Stability and Change in Human Characteristics *1964co-author, Taxonomy of Education Objections, Volume II: The Affective Domain, *1964, Bloom published Stability and Change in Human Characteristics. *1980 book titled All Our Children Learning

4. Benjamin Bloom leads a committee that (1956), identified three domains of educational activities: Cognitive: mental skills (Knowledge) Affective: growth in feelings or emotional areas (Attitude) Psychomotor: manual or physical skills (Skills) developed a taxonomic hierarchy of cognitive- driven behavior deemed important to learning and to measurable capability.
