Opportunity to bring together what students have learnt from previous modules and assess it all in one assessment. Assessment broken into 2 parts – Part A (20%) out week 1; submitted week 5 Part B (80%) out week 6; submitted week 11. Northumbria Conference 09 - Getting students to develop their own assessments

Assessment for Learning (AfL Condition 3)? “I was particularly impressed by the design, structure and assessment of the forensics modules. These modules combined the practical and theoretical elements in and interesting and skill focused manner. ” “They also brought to life the role of the forensic activity whilst ensuring the intellectual underpinning was developed and used in the work.” Northumbria Conference 09 - Getting students to develop their own assessments
8
Computer Forensics Case Project and Legal and Evidentiary Aspects of Computer Forensic modules amalgamated to make 20 Credit module Much more time available for the students to develop Part A, improving the student experience of Part B. Assessment changed to 70% ICA and 30% closed book exam A retrograde step? Northumbria Conference 09 - Getting students to develop their own assessments
