2 7/5/12 What does it mean to be healthy?  Write 2-3 complete sentences about what it means to you to be “Healthy”

3 7/9/12 What prevents you from reaching your goals?  Write 2-3 complete sentences about things that get in your way from getting what you want.

4 7/10/12 Journal- Describe what a “Brick Wall” is and how it applies to reaching your goals.

5 7/11 Explain what this quote means in 2-3 sentences:  "Whether you think you can or whether you think you can't, you're right.”- Henry Ford

6 7/12 Communication is 20 percent Verbal and 80 percent Non-Verbal  Write 2-3 sentences explaining what this means and whether or not you agree with it.

7 7-16 There is no such thing as failure, only learning experiences. -What does this mean and how does it apply to stress management?

8 7/17- Journal N o journal today. Take 5-10 min to look over your notes for the quiz. Or meditate for 5-10 minutes to reduce any pre-quiz tension.

10 7/19- Journal What are some typical foods that you (or others) eat when stressed? Why do you gravitate towards these foods?  Write 2-3 sentances

11 7/23- Journal What do you consider “Essential” in terms of nutrition?  Describe what essential means to you  Give a couple examples and explain why you chose them

12 7/24- Journal What does a typical grocery shopping experience look like for you?  What do you do, what do you look for, etc?  Write 2-3 sentences for your response

13 7/25- Journal The body needs me more than any other nutrient; 50 times more than protein; I make up about 60% of the body and the brain is composed of approximately 80% of me…..What am I?  If you know what this is write 2-3 sentences as to why it is so important and how you can take in more of this nutrient throughout the day.  If you don’t know what it is make a few guesses of nutrients that you feel are the most important and why you think they are.

14 7/26- Journal If you were in charge of advertisement for a food company what would you focus on when designing a billboard or magazine ad?  Write 2-3 sentences on your thoughts, examples, ideas, etc

15 7/30- Journal Did you watch the Olympic Opening Ceremonies or any events this weekend? What events drew your interest and why? Which aspects of Health are evident in the Olympic’s?  Write 2-3 sentences  If you did not see any events this weekend relate to previously seen events

17 7/31- Journal What is your favorite form of fitness?  Write at least 3 sentences addressing  What type do you do, where do you do it, how long, how many days, etc  Include different types if you want or just focus on one

18 8/1- Journal “The definition of Insanity, is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” – Albert Einstein  Write at least 3 sentences  on how you interpret this quote in terms of fitness, reaching your goals, etc.  Add an example or two of common cases of this if you can think of any

19 8/2- Journal Give an example of a substance that a person could use to drastically reduce there chances of reaching potential in terms of any component of health.  How would the substance you chose effect their fitness and nutrition goals?  Provide an example of a substance and write at least 3 sentences.
