MONITORING: Part of INSQA’s Quality Assurance Process 1. PURPOSE The purpose of a monitoring visit is to perform a formative evaluation of the process of implementation of the NQF by the provider

The SAQA Act requires all Education and Training Quality Assurance (ETQA) Bodies to be promoters and custodians of Quality and the Quality Assurance policies and processes of its constituent providers. 3. The Quality Assurance System ensures efficiency and effectiveness of the implementation of the NQF.

Outcomes of the Monitoring Visit Verify progress as an Accredited Provider – focusing on ‘gaps’ identified in the Accreditation Application Identify outstanding information / policies / procedures Assist with identification of qualifications / unit standards to be offered Identify implementation problems Develop support strategies Assist providers towards greater efficiency and effectiveness in implementing: Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Student support Assessment and moderation Data recording
