1 6 th Grade – Sit and wait for presentation to begin 7 th and 8 th grade who did not receive paper invitation(s) – sit and wait for presentation to begin 7 th and 8 th grade who received paper invitation(s) – before you sit, please make sure you get your ticket(s) and then a t-shirt(s) Tonight’s Agenda 1)We want as many parents as can to take a survey 2)Around 5:40 or sooner we will start with the data portion of the night – very short 3)Pick up scores from last year if you don’t have them in the cafeteria – see counselors

3 It is all about Growth! Tonight, we are recognizing those students who showed growth in reading and/or math of greater than 40%.

4 It is all about Growth! These students were given black t-shirts to wear for math and red t-shirts for reading. We are also giving out last year’s KPREP scores in the cafeteria, if you did not get the copy we sent home.

5 Example: If they are in an Academic Peer Group of 198 and had growth, it would look like: 198 …………..0% Not Counted ……………………….40% Growth …………………………………..80% Growth ……….......10% Not Counted

13 Integrate more Literacy Standards in all subjects and show evidence of implementation.

14 Continue an intensive schoolwide focus on reading and writing.

15 Using the MAP assessment identify which students did not grow and review sub- domains as to why.

16 Continue to show extreme growth in math. Continue to stay focused on our reward systems and policies for success!
