Chris Ledoux died of a rare liver cancer taking his life in 2005. A monument was made in his honor DEATH

Ledoux’s life was greatly respected with a monument that was placed in his hometown of Kaycee, Wyoming. “GOOD RIDE COWBOY”.

Introduction 0:00-0:06: Guitar solo begins with plucking a chord First Verse 0:06-0:37: Chris Begins singing and telling the story of him and his brother going to the county fair Second Verse 0:37-1:05: Chris describes the grounds on which he walks and what the people look like. Tells of his first time getting put on a pony Chorus 1:05-1:28: The chorus consist of Chris telling what an old man told him and how to ride a pony, and to enjoy the ride. Solo 1:28-1:35: A little high guitar plucking solo, almost a riff Third Verse 1:35-2:02: Continuing the story telling how he still remembers what the man told him how to ride, and still does it. Chorus 2:02-2:31: “Enjoy the ride” Bridge( Fourth Verse) 2:31-3:00: The guitar and background music slow, only with a guitar and Chris singing/talking the fourth and final verse Chorus 3:00-3:30: Last chorus Ending 3:30-3:48(End): Ending with an instrumental high guitar, normal guitar and a reverberating electric guitar. Pre- Intro 0:00-0:12: Begins with the sound of wind blowing by, coming in quiet with Chris’s voice coming in saying a few words Introduction 0:12-0:24: The guitar comes in a picks a soft but yet strong melody, setting the mood with some faint wind in the background First Verse 0:24-0:44: Chris begins to set the mood by beginning the story and setting the scene for the listeners to vision him sitting down drinking coffee with a friend Second Verse 0:44-1:06: Chris tell of some motorcycle riders coming in making fun of his friend. That’s when his friend turned to him and said: Chorus 1:06-1:30: Chris sings the part of what he tells the bikers of what they need to do before they touch the cowboy hat Third Verse 1:30-2:12: The parts of the hat are described in detail about the history, hat band, eagle feather and the special pin. All having some special meaning. Chorus 2:12-2:35 Fourth Verse 2:35-3:19: Begins to compare his hat to the bikers leather jacket but then realizes his friend was showing a big grin turning around knowing that the bikers understand the importance of the hat and how they will never mess with the cowboy again! Chorus 3:19-3:40 Outro 3:40-4:14 Ending the song with a guitar solo, fading away into the wind sound heard earlier in the introduction. 3. THIS COWBOY’S HAT (4:14)
