Glossary Create reference glossary specific to this paper divided into sections Assume it is to assist a student who has the knowledge base of a student finished with general biology Break down vocabulary into morphemes as applicable Definitions for root/general words regarding cardiovascular system and any unfamiliar words If word is a structure, make sure to include location and function as part of definition Create Glossary in the order presented in article

4. Summarize the thematic ideas in margin Analogous to summaries in Cornell notes Identify main thematic ideas throughout paper and create short concise summaries in margin of paper

5. Note Cards: While the summaries on the side of the paper are general quick explanations of the concepts; notecards are in depth explaining concept in detail (go to paper to quickly determine subjects/ go to notecards to learn about subjects) Be sure to include all appropriate structures, conceptual ideas, supporting evidences and or supporting information Paper clip thematic ideas together and number (ex: 1 of 5; 2 of 5, etc). Submit notecards in ziplock

6. Lastly: Address questions for article given by O’Dowd (to be given at a later date after you’ve had some time to “digest” the article)
