1 Purpose of this meeting: Introductions Get an idea of who is coming out for Track and Field. Start getting you excited for this upcoming spring. Encourage athletes to start talking to others about joining our team. Update on off-season developments. Talk about winter conditioning: Laker Speed

4 Off – Season Updates: Captains – There is a group of about 16 seniors who I have talked to about being team leaders. That group will meet once or twice a month leading into the season. – Other seniors talk to me if interested.

5 Off – Season Updates continued: Team Warm-up: Same Warm-up will be available. Online store opening soon. Will be on Web Page and I will tweet it out when it opens. Different from t-shirt / sweatshirt order in the spring. Completely optional, and will be yours to keep.

7 Important Dates: Laker Speed Starts: Mon. Nov 30 Season Starts: Mon. March 14 (this is also the start of spring break) Look for dates to order gear, Feb. Parent/Athlete Meeting, and season schedule on Schoology Page soon

10 This program will use a combination of strength training, running workouts, core training, speed drills, plyometrics, and flexibility exercises. Athletes will work out in groups based on their specific athletic goals. Training with your teammates will produce better results than training by yourself.

12 Distance Runners - Recomendations Running Workouts will be done in more of a captains practice format. Ideas and Guidelines posted on Schoology Page. Weight room / Strength sessions 2 times per (M and F with SPEED) start running in December People in this group should try to meet 3-5 days per week after school and run together... If you want workout plans/ideas talk to Coach J. or Coach Bollinger
