ALL ABOUT THE CONTEST FOR RUBE GOLDBERG Schools from all over the world come and compete in the Rube Goldberg contest. When they are coming to the competition and their project moves just the slightest bit, it could mess up the entire thing. In last year’s event, one team’s project moved just the slightest bit and messed the whole thing up. They spent a good 20 or 30 minutes to fix their project. When it was their turn, they didn’t know if they were to give their project a little push, or to just let it be.
11
MORE FACTS ABOUT THE RUBE GOLDBERG COMPETITION The people that go to the competition say that it’s a pain to get their project in one piece. The schools have to drive hundreds or thousands of miles to get to the competition. In the competition, they have different subjects for the winners. The machines they made were symbols of “Man’s capacity for exerting maximum effort to accomplish minimal results.”
