On the first day of ticket sales the school sold 3 senior citizen tickets and 1 child ticket for a total of 38$. The school took in 52$ on the 2 nd day by selling 3 senior citizen tickets and 2 child tickets. Find the price of a senior citizen ticket and the price of a child ticket.

My Favorite System of Equation Is Elimination Senior ticket=x. child ticket = y 3x + 2y= 52 3x + y = 38 X’s and y’s and # subtract eliminating them so you get y= 14. you plug it in the problem so it is 3x+2(14)=52 You * 14 & 2 to get 28. sub. 28 from both sides to get 24 divide 24 by 3 to get 8. so x=8 and y=14
