7 Junior Enterprise (JE): Based on the “Learning by Doing” concept Aims to fill the gap between universities and the business world Giving students the opportunity to add practical expertise to their theoretical knowledge Set up and maintain by students >> Student initiative JE responds to students‘ needs

8 Basics of the JE Concept A non-profit organisation JE is usually linked to the university JE is entirely run by students that both perform consulting projects for companies in various sectors and manage the company Students in a JE gain practical experience in management, leadership and professional work at an early stage

9 Junior Enterprise as Management Lab Students develop an entrepreneurial attitude All the problems and situation of SME Combines on entrepreneurial way the subject-specific knowledge along with social skills and other key skills. Therefore a Junior Enterprise is a real Management Lab

11 JADE Alumni Career Survey 21% JADE Alumni have own company –51% set up their company in less then 4 months –9 % after working for a few years JADE average age: 28 European average:35 57% get job offer before finish study 22% get job offer after 1 month <1% are unemployed
