3 Prepositions Anything a squirrel can do to a tree. The squirrel is ______ the tree. (above, before, below, up, to, near, under, with, at, across, past, toward, down, behind, beside, over, on, in)

4 Prepositions A preposition is NEVER the last word in a sentence. A preposition is ALWAYS followed by a noun.

5 Prepositions I hid in the bushes. We went to the store. My mom went through the kitchen. We will sit between the 2 teams. Susan bought one of the pictures.

6 Prepositions A prepositional phrase begins with a preposition and ends with a noun (object.) The book is under the bed. The boy hid in a closet.

7 Preposition or Adverb INSIDE We are going inside. We are going inside the house.
