Snoop Dogg could fit into many different theories as to why he commits crimes, but I believe its because of the Anomie Theory. Snoop Dogg has been doing drugs and being rebellious since he was a kid. He was raised in around other drug users and he was around other gang members, especially when he became a Crip. After being around that kind of culture, he was raised to want to achieve success by breaking the law. He has sold drugs, done drugs, and promoted drugs for years. He even became a pimp in the early 2000’s. He has been highly rebellious with his crimes such as vandalizing and doing drugs in public, and he doesn’t want to fit into a conforming society. Snoop Dogg wants to commit crimes because he is so used to it that it has become a part of his life. As of 2010, he claims to smoke about 80 marijuana blunts a day. Although he hasn’t been as rebellious as he was when he was younger, he still lives his life in a non-conformist style. His success ideas are making money and smoking weed. He has achieved that goal throughout his life.
