Graduation Requirements 48 credits are needed for graduation (12 cr./yr.) 1 credit is awarded for each semester course passed Recommended: 6 credit classes & a study hall each semester Students may elect to take 7 classes and no study hall

Early Bird Classes o Only 2 classes are offered to Freshmen: 1. Algebra I 2. Biology I o Start at 7:50 a.m. o Bus riders cannot sign up for early bird classes o Dismissed after 6 th period

Freshmen Registration Form Required Freshmen courses: English or Honors English, Biology I, Alg. I/Geometry/or Honors Geometry, PE Academic Numeracy and Academic Literacy Electives: Choose 2 year-long courses or 4 semester-long courses Study Hall (the norm is 6 classes and 1 study hall)

Driver’s Education Must be 15 years of age Completed one semester of high school Must earn all C’s or better on mid-term grades of the first semester Will be invited to enroll in Driver’s Education by letter from the guidance office. Students do not sign up for it.

Athletic Eligibility at CHS Must pass 5 classes the semester prior to season to be eligible During the season one must be passing 5 classes on a weekly basis Eligibility is checked every Wednesday

20 minute Individual Appointments Appointments are strongly encouraged, but not required this year Appointment times are Feb. 1 st – 5th, from 8 a.m. – 3:40 p.m. Parents who schedule an appointment on Feb. 1 st do not have an advantage over the appointments on Feb. 5th Appointments will be held at the middle school

Online Appt. Scheduling The window to schedule an appointment on Skyward opens at 8:00 a.m. on January 14th All parents are encouraged to make their appointments through Skyward. If you do not have internet access or need assistance, call 639-5020 to schedule your appointment. As of Feb. 1st, the online scheduling closes. Parents must call the middle school to schedule an appointment after Feb. 1. Call 639-6000.

Things to remember….. Take the packet home, talk about your classes with your parent Encourage your parent to schedule an appointment If no appointment, you must return your green registration form to the office by Feb. 1st
