Conferences in 2013 in Europe with IEEE booth globally about 20 applications / ~800 R8 NPSS members 2.5% growth ANIMMA – Nuclear and HEP Instrumentation, Marseilles, France 420 Attendees 40 Undergraduate Students adressed in 10 small groups  9 new members RADECS – Radiation Effects & hardening, Oxford, UK 420 Attendees  11 new members  including 8 graduate students (UK and France) Dora Merelli+Tony Lavietes, Christoph Ilgner, Patrick Le Dû + J-Luc Leray

Other actions under way R8 Chapters and Special Concern on Student Branches Chapters R8 –Algeria Subsection Joint Chapter, NPS/DEI –Czechoslovakia –France –Germany –Italy Student Branches R8 MSc and PhDs –Egypt Alexandria University –France Marseilles-Montpellier-St Etienne Universities, under creation An Invited Talk is scheduled in January 2014 in Marseilles University for the Instrumentation Graduate and Undergraduates (about 100 students, three departments)
