5 AAE450 Senior Spacecraft Design Mark Cunningham Station Keeping and Propulsion Mass Attitude control and propulsion system masses are calculated using the rocket equation from ΔV required, Isp, payload mass, and an assumed structural coefficient of ε =.1. Monopropellant hydrazine (Isp = 220 s) is used for station keeping and LOX-H2 (Isp = 450 s) is used for the propulsion system. Station keeping and travel ΔV’s gotten from James Goppert’s analysis.
