4 The Sentence Completion Question *Take Notes*
Before you look at the choices, think of a word that makes sense. Look at all the possible answers before making your final choice. Watch out for negative words and prefixes. Use your knowledge of context clues to get at the meanings of unfamiliar words. Break down unfamiliar words into recognizable parts. prefix roots Watch for signal words that link one part of the sentence to another. contrast support cause and effect In double-blank sentences, test one blank at a time, not two.

However, it might well amaze the committee to have an AMATEUR, non-professional person do it.
