4. Late Work All work not turned at the beginning of the period is considered late. Late assignments may be turned in the next day for half credit but will receive a score of 0 thereafter. Absent Work Students have two days for every day they were absent to turn in their work. It is their responsibility to find out what they have missed. Handouts are in the classroom file. Late Major Assignments: Late essays will lose a letter grade per day they are late.

5.  Ask your student specific questions about what he/she is reading.  Read with them!  Encourage extra reading at home.  Help proofread essays and writing assignments; the more eyes on the essay the better.  Encourage students to use the Literacy Center.
