The Antarctic Treaty was made to protect Antarctica and it’s environment. It was also made for us to use our land provided and not use anyone else's. Countries that own parts of Antarctica include……… 1.Australia 2.Norway 3.Argentina 4.United Kingdom 5.France 6.Chile And…. 7.New Zealand

In Antarctica there are some rules (made up by the Antarctic Treaty) that consider how you should behave in Antarctica. Some include where and what you fish, how close the animals are to you and what you bring to Antarctica.

There are two ways you can go to Antarctica. Either a plane or a boat. It just depends on what time of year it is though, for example round November/December time its better to fly on a plane because of the climate conditions in Antarctica. But the rest of the year its better to travel on a boat.

In Antarctica, many scientists stay for about a year. But it depends on how bad the weather is in winter. Its estimated that in summer around 2000 to 3000 scientists are living in Antarctica, but drops to 500 in winter.
