Clean Vessel Act of 1992 Matching Grant Program Purpose Improve water quality and reduce risk to consumers and growers of shellfish from pathogens i.e., Norovirus How Provide recreational boaters with an alternative to overboard discharge at accessible, affordable and conveniently located marine sewage pumpout stations.

4. Funded through a tax on fishing gear and fuel. Administered by US Fish and Wildlife. Managed in Washington by Washington State Parks Boating Program.

5. 75/25 Match Grants Available for Construction & Installation Renovation Operation & Maintenance – Parts and Labor (salaries and benefits).

6. What does the Grant Cover? 75 percent of the installed costs for Pumpouts Floating restrooms Dump stations Renovation of existing equipment Lift stations On-site holding tanks Pier or dock modifications Signs, permits, and other equipment Costs of maintenance and operation
