Reports on the Freedom of Association and Protection of the Right to Organise Convention 1948 (No 87) Article 2 Labor Code of the Philippines Book 5-Labor Relations Chapter 1 Art. 211 Declaration of Policy - To promote and emphasize the primacy of free collective bargaining and negotiations - To promote free trade unionism as an instruments for the enhancement of democracy and the promotion of social justice and development - To foster the free and voluntary organization of a strong and united labor movement No labor organisation shall knowingly admit as members or continue in membership any individual who belongs to a supervise organization or who is engaged directly or indirectly in any supersive activity.

F Article 3 Chapter II Article 241. Rights and Conditions of membership in a labor organization (c) The members shall directly elect their officers, including those of the national union or federation. (rationale): to ensure that all officers of the union share common interests and working concerns with that of the other employees-members.
