Ro-101 Intro to the Registrar’s Office What is the Registrar’s Office? It is our mission to assist all students in succeeding at UWG and to serve our faculty, staff, alumni and community with prompt and courteous service. It is our goal to meet all operational deadlines permitting students, faculty, and staff to effectively and efficiently move from the beginning to the end of a semester. Closely related to our primary goal is to ensure that all student records and course data are accurate and complete and can be relied upon in the establishment and realization of university goals. The Registrar’s Office is responsible for a multitude of tasks including: Maintaining official student academic records including transcripts and grades. Managing the Banner course catalog, Class Bulletin, and registration. Evaluating transfer credits for new and continuing undergraduate students. Evaluating completion of degree requirements for graduation. Interpreting and applying university, state and federal academic policies and procedures. Supporting and advising regarding academic policies and procedures.

Ro-101 Intro to the Registrar’s Office Degree Works Analyst Wanda Eidson –Serve as the university consultant on matters relating to Degree Works, UWG's advising/degree audit tool (aka Wolf Watch) –Create, manage and maintain computer software logic programs that support Degree Works –Assist with managing the architecture development to define future needs –Provide expert consultation, support and training on the software to faculty, staff and students

Ro-101 Intro to the Registrar’s Office Operations Team Purpose To provide students assistance with registration and schedule changes and to assist faculty and staff with administrative duties throughout the semester and end of term processing.

Ro-101 Intro to the Registrar’s Office Operations Team Jennifer McManus– Assistant Registrar –Oversee Operations Team with responsibility for student registration including setup, withdrawals, grade changes, BANNER course catalog and course schedule modules and maintenance of the departmental website –Perform end of term processing and other extractions of Banner Data – Interpret academic policy –Process academic dismissals, suspensions, and probations

Ro-101 Intro to the Registrar’s Office Operations Team April Luallen– Departmental Associate – Assists students, faculty, and staff with all aspects of registration and general student academic record related issues –Collaborates with First Year Experience and general university population for entrance and maintenance of Learning Community course sections, block scheduling, and complex course section entries – Serves as direct liaison to Bursar, Financial Aid, and Advising Center –Coordinates student workers

Ro-101 Intro to the Registrar’s Office Operations Team Open– Records Coordinator –Processes grade changes, complete withdrawals, independent studies, class reinstatements, and departmental credit by exams, and other pertinent registration and academic record requests –Assists students, faculty, and staff with all aspects of registration and general student academic record related issues –Assists with course section maintenance and troubleshooting –Assists with Registrar 101 presentations and coordinates training for faculty and staff regarding functions of registration and course section development –Serves as the coordinator for the Atlanta Regional Council for Higher Education (ARCHE)

Ro-101 Intro to the Registrar’s Office Operations Team Monica Thornton– Records Coordinator –Provides administrative support to the Registrar’s Office –Assists with general student academic record related issues and registration including class reinstatements, grade changes, and late drop/add/withdrawals – Assists with coordination of and leading training regarding functions of registration and course section development –Enters and maintains graduate assistantships –Monitors and maintains the Registrar’s website

Ro-101 Intro to the Registrar’s Office Enrollment Services Center UWG’s First Stop for Financial Aid and Registration Assists students with: Wolf Watch Drop/Add/Withdrawal and general registration questions Intake of Graduation Applications Answers loan, HOPE, SAP, scholarship & Financial Aid questions Submits forms to Financial Aid and Registrar’s Office Processes Transcripts and certifications of enrollment

Ro-101 Intro to the Registrar’s Office Who is the Enrollment Services Center Call Center? Tammy Rollins– Call Center Supervisor Trudy Saxon– Call Center Associate Samantha Kornegay– Call Center Associate The Call Center is responsible for handling hundreds of call per day. They assist students, parents, faculty and staff regarding anything from registration errors to graduation questions and much more. The Call Center not only provides customer service to students for the Registrar’s Office, but for Financial Aid, Undergraduate Admissions, and Housing & Residence Life.
