Smoke Alarm Locations Sleeping Quarters – Inside and Outside the door (In the hall way) Kitchens – Do not take batteries out to cook! Basement – Many houses have the electrical panels in the basement, which is a common cause of a fire.

Testing Smoke alarms Smoke alarms should be tested every month. – Most new smoke alarms have a test button Smoke alarms need to be replaced every 8 – 10 years (sensor inside goes bad) Read the manual when buying a new smoke alarm – Will have information on battery replacement and testing.

Incase of fire. 1.GET OUT!!!! 2.Get to meeting place.(or trusted neighbors house) 3.Call 911 4.STAY OUT!!!! 5.Count Family members 6.STAY OUT!!!! 7.Let arriving firefighters know if you are missing a family member or are hurt. 8.STAY OUT!!!!
