4 Smoke Alarm Locations Sleeping Quarters – Inside and Outside the door (In the hall way) Kitchens – Do not take batteries out to cook! Basement – Many houses have the electrical panels in the basement, which is a common cause of a fire.

5 Testing Smoke alarms Smoke alarms should be tested every month. – Most new smoke alarms have a test button Smoke alarms need to be replaced every 8 – 10 years (sensor inside goes bad) Read the manual when buying a new smoke alarm – Will have information on battery replacement and testing.

6 Incase of fire. 1.GET OUT!!!! 2.Get to meeting place.(or trusted neighbors house) 3.Call 911 4.STAY OUT!!!! 5.Count Family members 6.STAY OUT!!!! 7.Let arriving firefighters know if you are missing a family member or are hurt. 8.STAY OUT!!!!
