3. Typical Rental Fees Winter boots $5 Backpack$6 Crampons$5 Snowshoes$6 Total for 1 day trip $22 ► We only charge per number of days used ► Minimum fee of 1 day of use unless your trip leader cancels the trip ► Group safety gear is FREE! (your leader will tell you what group gear to rent)

4. When? Renting Gear: ► Thursday 9pm-10:30pm ► Friday 12pm-1pm Returning Gear (next week): ► Monday 7pm-8pm ► Tuesday 9pm-10:30pm See website calendar!

5. Thursday: Rent gear ► Meet with your trip leader (lecture hall)  Determine what gear you need (some might be group gear) ► Grab and fit gear (office) ► Note ID numbers on gear ► Bring gear to desk worker

6. Checking Out Gear ► Must make deposit with check ► Deposit amount is replacement cost of gear ► Or……. Become a frequent flyer!

7. Frequent Flyer Write 2 checks  $700  $300 No more deposit checks for one year!

8. I don’t have checks. What do? ► Find a friend with checks (must do individual deposits) ► Get temporary checks from your bank ► DO NOT give us cashier’s checks, bank checks, money orders, etc. ► Your ID, credit card, phone, jewelry, etc. are NOT acceptable substitutes for a check

9. Returning Gear ► Dry out all gear before returning it! ► Must be returned by Tuesday ► A proxy may return your gear  Proxy must pay for the gear ► Put back gear where you found it

10. Paying for gear (rentals, purchases, cabin stays, etc.) ► Pay only when you return gear (not when you take it out) ► Pay by check ► OR (**we prefer**) credit card payment! – Online payment with credit card, using your own phone/laptop
