Social Enterprises for Learning (SEfL) STC/WBL/CTE strategy, developed in 1998 Three main outcomes: 1.Social: provide benefits to a larger community or general public 2.Enterprise: produce goods or services for clients or customers 3.Learning: enable participants to develop specified kinds of knowledge and skills Applicable to a range of career themes and contexts

Why SEfL? SEfL Projects are authentic, inquiry-based learning opportunities Initiatives provide important professional/career context and give a professional trajectory to high school students Academy students are too often not prepared to take full advantage of internships as they are not prepared
