3. Three Pagodas Pass is one of the most famous tourist attractions in Kanchanaburi. This historical pass is located on the border between Thailand and Myanmar. It is about 240 kilometers from the city center of Kanchanaburi and 22 kilometers from the Sangkhlaburi business center. The Three Pagodas are memorials of the important to routing of troops during the wars of the Ayutthaya period.

4. Today the Pass has become a border market. Many tourists, both Thais and foreigner, like to visit this market to buy Burmese merchandise. Tourists are allowed to enter Myanmar to see more the beautiful landscape. Visitors can get to Three Pagodas Pass by car, bus or motorcycle.

5. There is a bus running from Kanchanaburi to Sangkhlaburi every hour. The last bus leaves Kanchanaburi at 6.00 p.m. However, the buses do not go to the site of the pass; there-fore, tourists have to rent a car or a van to bring them to three Pagodas Pass. Visitors can stay overnight at a small guest house. Although most people of Kanchanaburi have not seen Three Pagodas Pass yet, it is the official symbol of this beautiful province.
