ARE YOU INTERESTED IN JOINING STUDENT COUNCIL? Open to 7th and 8th grade students. Pick up applications outside room 106.

WHAT IS STUDENT COUNCIL? Student Council is a great way of becoming an active member of the school and community. It provides a forum where students can be a leader and have a say in the activities we provide at school. It is also a great way to meet other McMillan students, show school spirit and have fun. Representatives will be both 7th and 8th graders.

WHAT STUDENT COUNCIL DOES Participate in activities such as: · Planning school dances · Christian Care Center Can Food Drive · MJHS Talent Show · Teacher Appreciation Week · Student Appreciation Week · Community Events

Member Requirements: Be accepted through the application process and a written essay. A 70 or above in all classes. Progress Reports and Report Cards will be checked each nine weeks. You must represent the student body with excellent behavior which includes no office referrals, no Evening School attendance for discipline, no ISS, and no bus discipline referrals. Attendance at scheduled meetings. A signed permission slip by a parent or guardian on file with Mrs. Snodgrass (on the application). Most important: You must be willing to have FUN and work hard to make our school and community a better place!

Ready to join? Students interested in joining Student council will need to fill out an application. Pick up applications outside room 106. Have questions? See Mrs. Snodgrass room 106. Applications are due by September 16. Students who are selected will be notified by September 18. First meeting will be September 24 after school.
