Problem How does height and weight effect lung capacity?

Hypothesis I predict….that larger people will have more lung capacity.

Materials Stop watch 6 male 7 th graders 6 female 7 th grade Paper Pencil Computer Power point Microsoft excel

Procedure I had the participant’s hold their breath as long as possible. Since the height and weight could effect lung capacity I had them write them down. I also had them write down what sports they have played during the school year, since their physical activities could effect their breathing.

Conclusion The result was very surprising to me. There was no significant pattern.
