2 How to make nouns plural:
Words that end in ss, sh, ch, or x add es switch = switches, wish= wishes, miss = misses Words that have a consonant before the final y, change the y to i before adding es summary = summaries, country = countries

3 Adding Prefixes The spelling of a word does not change when you add a prefix to it even when the first letter of the word and the last letter of the prefix are the same mis + step = misstep, il + logical = illogical un + necessary = unnecessary, pre + eminent = preeminent

4 Irregular Nouns need to be memorized
