Visual 6.10 CERT Mobilization Each community is responsible to develop a standard operating procedure (SOP) for CERT mobilization. First of all: family is first, then neighbors. The first arriving CERT member at a designated staging area becomes the initial IC. The IC will prioritize actions on gathered intelligence from arriving CERT members
11
Visual 6.11 CERT Decision-making to Search Heavy damage = No rescue Moderate damage = Minimize rescuers and time in building Light damage = Locate, triage, treat, and prioritize victim removal
12
Visual 6.12 Team Tasks Based On Damage Levels
13
Visual 6.13 Rescuer Safety “Risk a lot, to save a lot. Risk little, to save a little”
14
Visual 6.14 Responsibilities for Documentation Provide command post with ongoing information. Document incident status (SITSTAT). Incident locations Access routes Identified hazards Support locations
