In Romania, the school system has the following school levels:
Pre-school: kindergarten (children’s age: 3-6/7)
Primary school: grades Ist - IVth (students’ age: 6/7-10)
Middle school: grades Vth - VIIIth (students’ age: 10-14)
Secondary school: grades IXth – XIIth (students’ age: 14-18)
University – 3 years, bachelor exam
M.A. programme – 2 years
