Why should we study technical writing or speaking? Our primary training & interests lie in technical area Writing & communication are superfluous to a technical education? No! This is not the case.

If we, technical people, cannot communicate to others what we are doing and why it is important, it is we and our excellent technical skills that will be superfluous. Therefore, communication skills are critical tools for success, even survival, in “real world” environment. Why should we study technical writing or speaking?
