Answer/respond in LA Notebook (see red packet for definitions) 1. Pathos – Review lines 82-91 & identify diction that suggests strong emotion 2. Concession/Refutation – Review lines 102-106 & identify Jefferson’s concession and refutation 3. Ethos – Review lines 107-106 & identify an examples of ethos 4. Tone – Reread the last paragraph (116). What is the tone of this paragraph? Why do you think Jefferson ended his speech this way?
