Research helps us provide an understanding on a particular subject or topic. Research can help open our minds to new and innovative ideas and inspire us to learn and explore more. Research can be used in any setting, can be used for school projects, for choosing a college, finding a job, or even choosing what movie to go and see.

Why do you think it is important to learn how to do research in middle school? In complete sentences, write a response.

There are several reasons why learning these skills now are extremely valuable and beneficial: This can help prepare you for any projects and assignments you have to complete for any of your middle school courses. You are already equip and knowledgeable of how to complete basic research by the time you enter high school. And basically these are amazing skills to have and knowing them will save you time and energy when completing your work.

Some research will involve learning and exploring specific topics. Right now, you are going to list 5 topics that you are interested in learning about. Take care to mention topics that you are INTERESTED IN, as you will be using these topics throughout the course. 1: 2: 3: 4: 5:

Some research will involve using questions and completing research to find the answer to those questions. Now I want you to think hard and come up with three research questions, 1 can be in any subject, 1 must be based on a current event, and the last one can be on a historical topic (like the Great Depression). Take care to mention questions that you are INTERESTED IN, as you will be using and exploring these questions throughout the course. 1 2 3
