3 PRE SESSION Notification -Text etc Planning the Session Ensure to prepare for session well in advance What is your goal for that session Over Organise – have lots to do!! (Variety) Organisation Arrive Early to Set up i.e. Pitch, Lights, Equipment Greet each player individually Roll call Time Keeping Establish good behaviour Coach/Players etc Start and Finish on time stated Attire - Make good first impression Enthusiasm of the Coach

4 SESSION Typical Format of a Session: 1.Warm Up (1 st activity demanding with kids) 10 – 15 mins 2. Main Body of Session 50 mins A. Individual and Group Practices on specific skill’s B. Conditioned Games with focus on specific skill B. Game 3. Cool Down 10 mins Length of session Min: 1hr Max: 1 ½ hrs

5 SESSION ORGANISATIONAL HINTS On Whistle – activity stops and jog to coach Gather in semi circle when addressing group and ensure you can see all players Gather footballs in centre Separate giddy players Face players away from distractions Either you or someone demonstrate task Control your voice Don’t spend too much time talking
