Leadership Styles Authoritative: © 2007 Baylor College of Medicine Cooperative: Leader makes decision for the group and announces it, explaining reasoning to group members any maybe but not necessarily taking their opinion into account. Leader can decide when it is appropriate to take their opinions into account. Leader presents the problem and leads the team through the decision making process, joining with the group in identifying the problem, diagnosing causes, considering the alternatives, and making the decision.
