Grand Canyon This is a picture of the Grand Canyon that our class took together

Tongue of the Ocean and Grand Bahama Bank This picture illustrates where the Tongue of the Ocean and the shallow Grand Bahama Bank meet.

The Nile River The Nile is the longest river in the world, at 4,180 miles. It is Egypts main source of water. Egypt is about 97% desert, making the Nile essential for survival. The river is an important source of freshwater for both household and agricultural use. It is also a power source from the hydroelectric plant at Aswan, and a means of transportation for people and trade. Only a very small percentage of Egypt is habitable – about 5%. Most of the inland population is located along the Nile. Therefore, population densities are high along the Nile – more than 1,000 people per square kilometer.

Ganges River Delta It is located in the South Asia region near Bengal.

Gravity is the force of attraction exerted by the earth on an object. The moon orbits around the earth because of gravity too. Isaac Newton later proposed that gravity was just a case of gravitation. Every mass in the universe attracts every other mass. This is the main idea of Newton's Law of Gravitation.
