Interesting Fact # 1 They have excellent hearing and eye sight and can run at speeds of up to 35 miles per hour. They make braying or barking sounds and soft snorting sounds. Under its hair, a Zebra’s skin is black.

Interesting Fact # 2 In fact, the further south you travel on the African plains the farther apart the stripes on the zebras get! In fact zebras are a member of the horse family. Usually the lead male of the herd, called a stallion, stays at the back of the group to defend against other predators if necessary.

Interesting Fact # 3 o Zebras communicate with facial expressions and sounds. Different zebra species have different types of stripes from narrow to wide. The position of their ears, how wide their eyes are, and whether they show their teeth all send a signal.
