Court and Community Day Students in grades 4-12 All students are either expelled or mandated by the judicial system to attend Restrictive environment Dress code – Only black and white clothing All students walk through a metal detector before entering school Probation officer on-site

Incarcerated Youth Juvenile hall Students incarcerated 24 hours a day Sentences vary Students enrolled in 5 classes Boot camp Cadets incarcerated 24 hours per day Average sentence = 5 months Cadets enrolled in 5 classes Cadets exercise and practice marching regularly

Charter – Independent Study Solution to students who are unsuccessful in seat-time program or have life issues that could lead to students dropping out Students meet with teacher 1- hour per week for assignments and support IS students have access to all county extra-curricular programs

Charter High School Vision began with a conversation between superintendent and boot camp graduate A school for students that do not “fit” the traditional setting Create an environment where all students are accepted and valued

Construction The foundation of Pioneer Technical Center Students transformed an empty warehouse into a high school Built classrooms/shop from the ground up Created buy-in amongst staff and students Continues to be a viable trade

Criminal Justice Began teaching Criminal Justice 2004 – 2005 Began ROP Criminal Justice Program in Fall of 2005 Added Criminal Investigation Course Curriculum and Hands-On Component College Articulation Community Service Projects and Partnerships Competitions
