Description Lactose intolerant is when a person’s body cannot digest lactose within dairy products, which is a sugar that is found in milk and other dairy products. But, depending on the dairy product, it varies on how much it effects the person eating it.

Symptoms Bloating Pain or cramps in lower stomach Gas Diarrhea Throwing up

Test -Hydrogen breath test To test for lactose intolerance you are given a lactose solution and your breath would be tested, if you have a large amount of hydrogen you are lactose intolerant. - Lactose tolerance test You are given a lactose solution and then they take a sample of your blood, they measure your blood sugars, if your blood sugar levels rise slowly or not at all then you are lactose intolerant.

Treatment/cure There are no known cures for being lactose intolerant, however there is a pill you can take after drinking or eating milk products which helps reduce the reaction your body has to the milk products. You are not born lactose intolerant, but you can develop it as you grow. Therefore there is no way to prevent being lactose intolerant.
